I may well be well behind the times with the news in the UK and many of you will have heard about this story a long time ago, however, if I’m just another blogger highlighting this story and just one more person learns about it, it’s worth while.

Brent Martin, a 23 year old man with learning difficulties that was beaten to death by three other men last August in Sunderland, UK for being disabled. According to the press, the attack began as a 16 year old was bet £5.00 that he couldn’t knock Brent out with his right hand.

A teenager (afore mentioned 16 year old) and William Hughes, aged 21 have both pleaded guilty in Newcastle Crown Court, a third aged 17, is currently on trial.
